True enough—though I would note that during the Clinton era, much trouble was stored up for t,he future. No sooner was he out of office than 9/11 happened.

Thanks. And they do, don't they? But given Lucy's present age—mid-thirties—the prologue is set around 1998-2000. Which is OK, because then Bill Clinton gets the blame...
