I swung by earlier today and miraculously, the monument had been thoroughly detoxed. I say miraculously because NYC is a shambles even during normal times. But the criminals are still at large.
I got a little choked up that Mayor Eric Adams is donating something like 5 grand reward out of his own pocket for leads on these ingrate vandals in honor of his uncle, a fallen soldier.
Mayor Adams is a bit sketchy in my book, but he gives me the impression that his heart’s in the right place and when one recalls his predecessor, well, NYC could do worse…
My father served in WWII in North Africa. My mother was a war bride and Jewish. My father would be livid to see a memorial to the fallen being desecrated by these clueless, entitled brats. My mother would be horrified to see the terrors of her youth -- the fear that she and her entire family would be wiped out -- reemerging half a century later.
I hope this photo gets shared far and wide before the election. If the Democratic Party cannot bring themselves to condemn this desecration, they do not deserve to serve in any official capacity in Federal or State governments.
As the anniversary of D-Day approaches, I can’t help but contrast those incredibly brave and dedicated young men who ran into a hailstorm of bullets, grenades, and land mines for the sake of freedom, with the coddled brats who waited till the weather was nice to camp out, demand catered hot lunches and bottled water as “humanitarian aid,” trashed other people’s property and intimidated Jewish students, on behalf of a pack of savages who raped, tortured, and murdered innocent civilians in the sickest ways possible. Stupid little Nazi shits.
Thank you for the history lesson—those brave soldiers should never be forgotten. The desecration of their memorial is despicable. It’s representative of the evil of the Hamas supporters.
In desecrating that memorial, the pro-genocide activists have only succeeded in disgracing themselves. The honor of the soldiers of the 107th Infantry survives intact.
My father, who served with a B-17 flight crew in WWII, passed away in 2019 at 95. He would’ve celebrated his 100th birthday last month.
I still deeply miss him. But there are times when I’m thankful that he didn’t live to see this stuff. This is no longer the country for which he risked his life.
My father, who served during the war in the United States Coast Guard—Semper Paratus— died all too soon at the age of sixty-seven. He lives with me, though. Ever and again, I hear his echo in my own voice.
My parents were New Deal Democrats and both served in WWII, my father in the air force in bombers, my mother as a translator for the OSS. I miss them, but I'm glad they're not alive to see this.

Thank you for this tribute to the 107th, Mr. Gregg. Those who desecrated that memorial should be on a prison work gang.

Evil and clueless.
