Very well said (written) Mr. Gregg. Your points nicely summarize something I’ve thought for a long time. That DEI pisses off 100% of the population. It tilts the playing field in favor of diverse candidates therefore irritating the non-diverse population. And it irritates diverse candidates because no one believes they are credible or got there through merit. Someday when I have the energy, I’ll write about the wackadoo ‘science’ that has become the DEI sales pitch. I wish they’d just call it reparations because I could understand that easily. True to your moniker, here’s to the hopes that un-woke rational thought can strongly correct DEI insanity.
Trump’s unmitigated meltdown is the story, rightly so. His inability to answer pointed questions from a woman-and subsequent response as her being ‘nasty and rude’ etc, is the story.
He’s an ill informed buffoon, which, thankfully, was on full display. The wrong person to lead liberal democracy. That’s the story.
Too bad Fox didn’t cover it. That’s another story, i suppose.
Well, his reception was nasty and rude. And as I noted, the Left's inability to square the circular insanity of DEI dogma was more interesting than Trump being Trump/
Nasty and rude… Your reply is to echo DJT’s remarks?
He can’t handle anything other than softball questions -or it’s nasty? That’s his stock reply? Lord help us with such imbecilic utterances.
He looks more disjointed than before, but hey, you have your perspective, and I’ve got mine. Hopefully there’s an intersection from which we learn from each other..
Yes, rude from the start—which was half an hour late, incidentally. It's no wonder that journalists are held in such low esteem. As a group, they're dumb, ignorant, and dishonest.
And profuse apologies for being a dimwit too; I really can't hope to reach any levels of trenchant insight, sigh.. Appreciate your kind elucidation for keeping me down where I belong. Silly me for thinking otherwise..
The way she became a star is astonishing, but the hate of Trump makes its wonders. What would have happened if she ran against someone else but Trump? Would the same ecstasy follow her ascent to be viewed as THE perfect candidate with an impeccable record?
It’s too soon to tell how Harris who’s really a dud, a radical progressive apparatchik and—let us not forget—a member of the reviled Biden Administration, will fare as a presidential candidate. Right now she’s riding the wave of Democrats’ relief that Biden has been thrown under the bus. That will change.
Never asked, just thanked..
The ‘wrestling with a pig’ dictum clearly applies here. It’s your Substack, not mine.
Thanks for allowing me to comment.
You don’t need my permission to comment.

Well, thanks for reading.
Someone once decided to emphasize her roots, https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/22/us/kamala-harris-indian-americans/index.html
Well, surely she’s allowed to mention the fact that her mother was Indian.
I think that the initiative was CNN’s, have you watched the video?
Liked your post.

Are you really this dumb?
Yup.

Nailed it.

There are a lot of “inclusive” ideas that we hear now. The implementation and their true content - another issue.
