And it’s completely ridiculous perverse and hypocritical how the far left privileges Muslims and encourages them to go off about Zionism notwithstanding the atrocities committed and that continue to be committed by Islamic terrorists. If you were to refer to Islamic terrorists though, nowadays you would be considered a bigot. To the radical left, the Taliban are just disadvantaged minorities
I spent time as a graduate and post doc in the Leftist paradise called UC Berkeley and understand how they think.
The Cult of islam is just _one_ of their protected classes and is a favorite tool for making people self sensor by using the fictitious word islamophobia.
The Left knows and understands that they reside in a partitioned compartmentalized realm of mutually exclusive self-contradictory beliefs used as a weapon.
Yeah I think in between when they’re spouting off about zionism, and pausing to catch their breath, I think they identify victims of antisemitism and islamophobia respectively as morally equivalent, such that we can’t defend Jews in the west unless we also virtue-signal to Muslims, or put another way, we can only denounce antisemitism on the condition that as a disclaimer, we say something about islamaphobia. This is an equivalence which is abhorrent to me though. And i’m neither Jewish nor do I have anything against the Islamic faith per se, but as a westerner, I think and we have every right to put Jewish claims to Israel above the status-related concerns of Muslim minorities. For they are not equal.
And while the radical left pretends self-righteously to condemn zionism Israel is under seige from Hezbollah and Iran, and after the global war on terror, after 9/11, the far left really wants to say that Jews and Muslims have the same value if Muslims are not somehow superior, but if we’re going to defend Jews at least, we have compulsively to grant Muslims the same recognition?! No!! That’s just monstrous to me. All of us who would dare to judge right from wrong, using commonsense should repudiate that relativism, borne of progressive ideology whose contradictions are so numerous one can hardly tell what progressives even want. But I have a hunch that the radical left is antisemitic for the same reason communists were in the 20th century, because they align Jews with capitalism and western hegemony. And I wonder if they would make temporary alliances with radical Islamic fundamentalists even the same way Stalin allied with Hitler-- to make common cause with anyone who would overthrow the globalists.
Mr. Gregg, you are in danger of being a national treasure.
I can’t wait to pass along your comment to my wife…
A man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.

This is true. Even when the comrades do bring themselves to denounce antisemitism, they have to include a denunciation of "Islamophobia."
