My New Fascist Fan
Nordic Pagan Soldier may be a creepy little troll, but in a way he's the man of the moment
Ladies and gentlemen, permit me to introduce Clarence Wilhelm Spangle, also known as Nordic Pagan Soldier. How exactly I managed to attract his attention remains a question mark at this point. No matter, however—Nordic Pagan Soldier is the reward of my labors. His multiple contributions to the comments section of my recent articles shows that my denunciations of the odious V. Putin, the utterly evil baby killers of Hamas, and the Jew-bashing creeps of the activist Left have touched a nerve. I acknowledge them proudly as a badge of honor.
I’ve gone back and forth in my mind as to whether I should share with you a representative selection of the fifty-odd comments with which Nordic Pagan Soldier has bombarded Un-Woke in Indiana. Especially at this moment in time, they could be upsetting if not traumatizing for some of my readers. So I’ve decided to compromise. Those who believe they have the stomach for it can sample Nordic Pagan Soldier’s hideousness in the comments section of this article:
One tends to assume that people like this are creepy little trolls, hunched over their keyboards in a clammy basement somewhere, typing away by the light of a swaying bulb, with an occasional break to smoke some crack or visit Pornhub. But as the current crisis has revealed to us, antisemitic hate and fantasies of genocide are not confined to the basement brigade. Nordic Pagan Soldier might very well be a Harvard undergraduate majoring in peace studies, a University of Virginia graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in critical race theory, or an MSNBC contributor.
Perusing Nordic Pagan Soldier’s raves and rants, I’ve been struck by their resemblance to so much of the chanting, sloganeering, and statement mongering of the activist Left as they protest “settlers,” colonialism,” etc. Granted, he plumbs the depths of pure rhetorical sewage, while the comrades drone on in the dismal patois of postmodern progressivism. But in spirit, Nordic Pagan Soldier and the Democratic Socialists of America are not far apart. They both want the same thing for the Jews: extermination.
Now, some may find objectionable this equation of a radical Right antisemite with the activist, social justice Left. All right, sure, they may say. DSA’s support for Hamas is deplorable. But Nordic Pagan Soldier’s hymn of hate is much, much worse.
Really? I think not.
The activist Left has openly sided with Hamas against Israel, justifying the latter’s gruesome butchery as an act of “liberation,” as a blow struck against “colonialism” and “settlers,” as “justice for Palestine.” No less than Nordic Pagan Soldier, the comrades desire to see Israel wiped off the map—by any means necessary, including genocide. What difference does it make that they blather about “white supremacy” and “imperialism,” while my new fascist fan screams about FILTHY KIKESUCKING ZIONIST ASS WHORES? It comes down to the same thing in the end: dead Jews.
The truth is that antisemitic bloodlust and hate have escaped from the basement to spread like a cancer through once-respectable institutions of Western society: the media, political parties, higher education. In the United States, the Democratic Party harbors a cabal of Jew-bashing bigots in its progressive wing. In the days of their sanity, Democrats would not have tolerated the presence in their ranks of outright, unapologetic antisemites like Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib: They’d have been chased out in disgrace. These days, however, they’re allowed to stage a mini-Nurenberg rally under the dome of the United States Capitol:
In a way, I suppose, Nordic Pagan Soldier is to be preferred to the activist Left. He is what he is—no ifs, ands or buts—a rabid antisemite. But DSA, BLM, Harvard, the Squad, and the rest of them lipstick their porcine bigotry with claims to superior wisdom and virtue—adding the sins of hypocrisy and fraud to that of promoting mass murder. Minos will surely be puzzled as to which circle of Hell he should consign these social justice warriors.
I’ve noticed an uptick in the number of Alt Right and Dirtbag Left trolls showing up on Substack recently. They must be tiring of Lord Musk’s X musk of late.
"Clarence" amuses because he's such an unoriginal, stereotypical 'nationalist.' Paster of tired drivel and fan of 'the protocols.' But most WNs don't want anything to do with him.
Fortunately for Clarice, the nazi wannabe groups are always fragmenting, re-forming under new names, disappearing, getting sued, having members arrested, etc. When one of the groups drums him out again, he just waits until they disintegrate and re-joins the newly named crew - or tries to.
